Gratitude

Gratitude

A whole new month! My birthday month at that. So much to look forward to and to be excited about. So what better way than to start with a gratitude entry? Back in college, I remember one of my professors made us write a gratitude journal entry each week with at least five things we’re grateful for. I’ve always wanted to keep doing that. Here are just a few things I’m grateful for today.

  1. I’m grateful for growth and new opportunities. I see a lot of new opportunities available to me in my career path. It feels uncertain still, but I’m very hopeful.
  2. I’m grateful for good health. This will probably always be on the list. But I don’t think it’s emphasized enough. Without good health, we really couldn’t do anything. Which is why, I’m trying to take care of my body more so that it can in turn serve me better in the long run.
  3. I’m grateful for a supportive family. I think it’s easy to take our family for granted. They are always there, but they are the people who love us the most, are willing to sacrifice for us, and give unconditionally. I don’t express it enough, but I’m truly grateful to have such a loving family.
  4. I’m grateful for California’s weather. This one is often on my list. Whenever I travel I appreciate Cali’s weather even more. It’s just perfect. Sunny yet breezy. Most of times, it’s never too hot or too cold. And never humid. Despite loving many of the places that I travel to, I almost always hate the weather. And that’s when I know I’ve been spoiled.
  5. I’m grateful for the abundance of free resources. Who said there aren’t good people? Everything these days are at the tip of our fingers, most of these resources are free. Someone took time out of their life to make that happen. I’m really grateful for those people who are kind enough to put forth their time and effort for our own convenience.
